About ATHEF
The Arkansas Tourism & Hospitality Education Foundation (ATHEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders for the hospitality sector and to increasing student awareness of career paths within the industry. Since its founding in 1999, ATHEF has distributed more than $900,000 in scholarship funds to support the education and career development of aspiring culinary and hospitality professionals.
Eligibility
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident and reside in the state of Arkansas.
- Be a graduating high school student who has been accepted to and will be enrolled in an AHA‑approved hospitality program at an accredited culinary school, college, or university; or be a student who will be enrolled in Fall 2026 on a full‑time or substantial part‑time basis (minimum 9 credit hours) in an AHA‑approved hospitality program at an accredited culinary school, college, or university.
- Commit to enrollment for two consecutive academic terms; applicants must not be entering their final semester or scheduled to graduate before May 2027.
- Applicants whose only enrollment is an Internship Prep course will not be processed, as that course does not meet the minimum credit‑hour requirement.
