Arkansas Promise Scholarship

Overview
The Arkansas Promise Plus award supports eligible 2026 Arkansas high school graduates by helping pay remaining tuition and required fees after other aid is applied. Below are the qualifications you must meet and the benefits provided.
Eligibility
- Graduating from an Arkansas high school in 2026.
- Legal Arkansas resident.
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- Academic thresholds: an ACT superscore of at least 19 OR an SAT score in the 990–1010 range, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.00.
- Household adjusted gross income (AGI) below $70,000.
- FAFSA submitted.
- Qualify for the federal Pell Grant.
- Complete the Arkansas Academic Challenge application and be awarded the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship (receipt of that scholarship is required to receive Arkansas Promise Plus).
Award Details
- Renewable for up to four years.
- Pays remaining tuition and mandatory fees (including Athletic and Student Activity Fees) after federal Pell Grants, state scholarships, and A-State Academic Scholarships are applied. Coverage is for up to 15 credit hours per semester.
- First-year housing costs are covered (first-year only).*
- First-year off-campus students receive a Voluntary Meal Plan (VMP) plus $500 in Promise Plus Perks per semester (first-year only).
