Eligible Applicants
- This scholarship is offered only to students during their high school senior year.
- It is intended for U.S. citizens who are graduating high school seniors and who do not qualify for scholarships that require both Arkansas residency and graduation from an Arkansas high school.
- Only a limited number of these awards are available.

- Annual value: $2,500, disbursed across the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Applicable only to courses taken on the Arkansas State University–Jonesboro campus (correspondence courses are excluded).
- The award may continue for up to eight consecutive semesters or until the undergraduate degree is completed, whichever comes first, provided the recipient meets all scholarship conditions.
- All online degree programs are not eligible for institutional scholarships.
Admission and Application Requirements
- Students must be admitted to Arkansas State University. Admission requires a completed application with fee, official ACT or SAT scores, and an official six- or seven-semester high school transcript.
- Minimum academic criteria: ACT composite of 24 or New SAT total of 1180, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.250 on a six- or seven-semester transcript.

- Awarding of scholarships is contingent upon available funding.
Accepting the Award and Enrollment Requirements
- Students offered the Beyond Boundaries Scholarship must accept the award by July 1 of their senior year (acceptance within 30 days of the offer is recommended). The offer expires after July 1. If an accepted recipient later chooses another institution, they must notify the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office in writing or by email at scholarships@astate.edu.
- Recipients must enroll full-time at the A-State Jonesboro campus each Fall and Spring semester, defined as 15 college-level credit hours (correspondence excluded). Enrollment is locked as of the 11th class day.
- Matriculation at A-State must begin in the Fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
- The student must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Concurrent full-time enrollment at another campus does not count toward the 15-hour requirement and cannot be funded by this scholarship.
- Any student who is enrolled full-time at another college, university, technical college, or branch of A-State during a regular semester (Fall or Spring) after high school graduation will forfeit the scholarship.
Academic Policies and Responsibilities
- All college coursework is included in the GPA calculation used for scholarship renewal.
- Students who plan to include a developmental course among their required 15 A-State hours and intend to attempt a test-out must contact the Scholarships Office before testing to review how the exam could affect scholarship eligibility.
- If grades change after initial reporting, the student is responsible for notifying the Scholarships Office so their scholarship status can be re-evaluated.
- For questions or exceptions related to military service, contact the A-State Scholarships Office at (870) 972-2310.
- Recipients who are dependents of A-State faculty or staff will receive payment equal to 25% of the scholarship amount per semester for A-State credit hours, in addition to any faculty/staff tuition discount.
Renewal Requirements
- To renew the scholarship each year, students must maintain an overall cumulative GPA of 3.250 and successfully complete 30 A-State credit hours during the academic year (Fall and Spring combined). Accepted transfer credits will be included in GPA calculations.
- Students with incomplete grades who do not otherwise meet renewal criteria will lose the scholarship.
- A student who ends any Fall term with only W’s, F’s, WN’s, I’s and/or FN’s will forfeit the scholarship for all subsequent semesters.
- Freshman Probation: First-year recipients who do not meet the 3.250 GPA and 30 A-State hour requirement by the end of their first academic year have until the end of Summer II to reach those standards (this includes Fall, Spring, Summer I and Summer II combined). All courses taken to remove the deficit during probation must be A-State credits. If the requirements are not met by the end of Summer II, the scholarship will be revoked for all remaining semesters. Probation is available only once (for the freshman year).
