Overview
This scholarship is open to students connected to dairy farming in the Ozarks Division territory (Arkansas, southern Missouri, or eastern Oklahoma). Key deadlines and submission details are listed below.
Eligibility
- Must be accepted to, or currently enrolled as, a full‑time student at an accredited college.
- As of January 1 of the current calendar year, the applicant must be associated with a contributor to the Midwest Dairy checkoff. This can be the applicant themself or a qualifying family member — parents, guardians, spouse, grandparents, or siblings — who own a dairy farm within the Ozarks Division territory (Arkansas, southern Missouri, or eastern Oklahoma). - If employed on an Ozarks Division dairy farm (Arkansas, southern Missouri, or eastern Oklahoma), the applicant must have a recommendation from their producer employer.
- Previous scholarship recipients are eligible to apply again in later years if they continue to meet all eligibility requirements.
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:
- Involvement in and contributions to the dairy industry
- Leadership activities
- Career objectives in the dairy field
- Academic performance
Application timeline and required materials
1. Submit the online application by March 15, 2026.
2. Applicants selected as recipients will be notified by May 15, 2026. Those selected must provide the following documents by June 1, 2026:
- High‑resolution photograph
- Newspaper information form
- Publicity consent form
- W‑9 form
3. Scholarship funds will be issued directly to the student by August 1, 2026.
