Razorback Bridge Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by University of Arkansas
This scholarship is designed to support students from communities that are typically underrepresented, who have shown exceptional academic leadership skills and potential. These communities may include, but are not limited to, students from ethnic or minority groups that are underrepresented, students with an interest in a field that is not commonly pursued by individuals of their ethnicity or gender, students living in counties in Arkansas that are underrepresented, and students who are the first in their family to attend college.
Those chosen as Razorback Bridge Scholars will be part of a mentoring program involving both peers and faculty. They will also have the chance to engage in leadership activities on campus.
Requirements for Admission and Eligibility
Receiving a general freshman scholarship is dependent on full admission and enrollment as an undergraduate at the University of Arkansas.
Furthermore, most scholarships necessitate that recipients be U.S. citizens, legal U.S. residents, or foreign nationals who are allowed to study in the United States. If recipients have not fulfilled all admission and eligibility requirements by the first day of classes, their scholarship offer may be rescinded.
Details on the Award
The scholarship will cover up to the total yearly scholarship amount to help with tuition, tuition-related fees, and/or on-campus housing (double occupancy). Typically, half of the scholarship amount will be applied to charges for the fall semester and the other half to charges for the spring semester.
The Academic Scholarship Office has the authority to substitute a scholarship with a comparable one of equal or greater value, or to replace a general scholarship with a similar one funded by a generous donor (named scholarship). In most cases, students with a named scholarship will need to write a letter of appreciation before the scholarship funds are released.
