CASE Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by Casualty Actuarial Society
The Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast (CASE) is offering up to two (2) scholarships up to $1,500 each to college students in southeastern states for the upcoming academic year. The scholarship program's mission is to encourage students who reside in a southeastern state to become future working members of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
The CASE Scholarship Program is open to all college students who will be continuing as full-time students for the academic year to which the scholarship will apply at a college or university in one of the following Southeastern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia. Incoming freshmen / first-year students are not eligible for the scholarship.
The selected candidate(s) will generally have demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics:
A) Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
B) Has sat for actuarial exams.
C) Has passed an actuarial exam (include VEE credits). Exams trump the study curriculum and/or major
D) Has taken and excelled in actuarial science courses.
E) Has completed an actuarial internship.
Completed applications are due by May 1st of each year for scholarships awarded for the academic year beginning in the Fall.
